Trainees / university students
Our training programme provides qualified university graduates with an opportunity to applyfor a career start at DZ HYP.
Our 18-month trainee programme concentrates on the front office (sales) or back office (credit risk management) areas, and consists of a six-month introduction phase and a twelve-month specialisation phase. The introduction phase always takes place in Hamburg, one of DZ HYP's head offices. Here you will learn about the culture, the processes and the structures of DZ HYP. During the subsequent specialisation phase, you will deploy your skills at your so-called 'home base' – at our offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich or Stuttgart. The specific location will be determined beforehand. You will be working increasingly independently, taking on first responsibilities. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible preparation for permanent employment as a client advisor or credit analyst.
Besides the intensive on-the-job introduction, our trainees will exclusively participate in the DZ HYP Real Estate Academy. In cooperation with the IRE|BS Real Estate Academy, one of the most prestigious advanced training institutions in this sector, they will complete a highly-qualified basic training in the real estate business. By the way: thanks to the strong commitment regarding the qualification of our trainees, our trainee programme received the ABSOLVENTA seal of quality for career enhancing and fair trainee programmes.
A taste of the working life for students or interns
Students who seek to do a work placement, or want to apply for our trainee programme, or a position as a working student, are most welcome at DZ HYP. Furthermore, we also offer them the opportunity to write their bachelor’s or master’s thesis at the Bank.
Insight into the working life
Are you are currently studying, and would like to gain an insight into the work at one of the leading real estate banks? Perhaps you are interested in our core business – or motivated to take over tasks in our back office? The possibilities are manifold! As a working student you can, alongside your studies, earn some extra money as well as gather valuable professional experience, working a maximum of up to 20 hours per week. Here, the focus is on supporting the different business units in their everyday work, or with specific projects. An internship, on the other hand, is essentially a special and flexible learning relationship designed to enhance qualification and provide guidance for the future career path. Here you will gain interesting insights into our varied business activities, receiving valuable (and vocationally qualifying) experience. For your internship to live up to your expectations, we will look after you and provide you with advice and support – providing valuable orientation for your future career choice. Our internships and working student jobs are often a great opportunity to qualify for our trainee programme.
